Teresa Permenter


Shelby Kelley is a trial lawyer who represents clients in commercial litigation and government investigations, with a focus on contractual disputes, energy litigation and regulatory matters, and environmental issues. She also has defended clients in cases involving allegations of business fraud, breaches of fiduciary duty, accounting irregularities, employment issues, and trademark infringement.

Shelby regularly represents clients in proceedings before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and national and international arbitration panels. She frequently counsels clients during non-public administrative agency investigations. Her agency experience includes representation of energy companies in investigations, complaint proceedings and administrative hearings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

Shelby also counsels clients in eDiscovery strategy for high-profile litigation and regulatory proceedings. She advises on data preservation, retrieval and privacy matters, including cross-border data collection matters.  Shelby has recently been appointed to the task force of the American Bar Association’s Big Data Committee where she is involved in establishing global standards and best practices in the use of big data analytics and benchmarking.
