Mark E. Dendinger
Mark Dendinger is a member of the firm’s Financial Restructuring team. Mr. Dendinger’s practice includes representation of hedge funds, institutional investors, private investment funds, leveraged finance participants, financial services companies, and other lenders in out-of-court restructurings, in-court proceedings, and distressed M&A transactions, both in the U.S. and internationally. Mr. Dendinger also has maritime restructuring experience representing international shipping companies in U.S. Chapter 11 proceedings.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Dendinger gained finance experience working for a private equity investment firm specializing in secondary market transactions. In that role, Mr. Dendinger performed due diligence on secondary private equity portfolio purchases for the firm. Mr. Dendinger also spent time underwriting primary fund commitments for the firm and on behalf of third-party institutional investors.
Represented Venoco, Inc. and its affiliated debtors in possession in their chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Represented Optim Energy, LLC and its affiliated debtors in possession in their chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Represented group of second lien noteholders in the chapter 11 case of Ahern Rentals, Inc. in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada.
Represented Marco Polo Seatrade, B.V. and its affiliated debtors in possession in their chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Counsel to first lien lender group in out-of-court restructuring of an oil exploration and production company headquartered in Texas.
Represented group of second lien noteholders in the chapter 11 cases of Trico Marine Services in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Counsel to group of senior and subordinated bonds in the receivership of Washington Mutual Bank.
Counsel to noteholder group in restructuring discussions with YRC Worldwide Inc.
Counsel to lender group on amendment and restatement discussions related to merger of two large specialty finance companies.
Counsel to Wells Fargo Bank in acquiring BNP Paribas energy lending unit.
Counsel to Canadian media conglomerate in Chapter 15 and Chapter 7 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Counsel to U.S. bondholder of an Australian coal mining company that also provided debtor in possession financing to the company in voluntary administration proceedings in Australia.
Advised European shipping company on reorganization of more than $1 billion of debt, and the disposition of certain shipping assets.
