Ryan represents clients in a wide variety of transactions in the electric power and oil and gas industries. He negotiates and documents acquisitions and divestitures of assets and companies, financial transactions and commodity hedge transactions for utilities, private equity investors, financial institutions and commodity trading businesses. Ryan has been nationally ranked in 2015 Chambers Energy: Electricity (Transactional) and in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 Chambers USA in Projects. Ryan's experience includes representing a strategic purchaser in the acquisition of several gas-fired power plants, the representation of a publicly traded energy company in the sale of its interest in an energy trading joint venture, representation of a utility in the disposition of its Texas retail electric business, and representation of a publically traded energy company in the acquisition of a Texas electric retail provider.

Howard Midstream Energy Partners, LLC in its negotiation of a purchase and sale agreement to acquire northeast Pennsylvania gathering assets in Bradford and Lycoming counties from Southwestern Energy Company for $500 million.

Howard Midstream Energy Partners, LLC and its subsidiary, Maverick Terminals, in the acquisition of a majority interest in the GT Omniport Terminal from GT Logistics.

Entergy Corporation and its subsidiaries, Entergy Arkansas, Inc., Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, L.L.C. and Entergy Texas, Inc., in an agreement to purchase the Union Power Station near El Dorado, Arkansas for $948 million.

Rockland Power Partners II, LP in the acquisition of a portfolio of three gas-fired generation facilities from Ameren Corporation.

Entergy Corporation in the sale of Energy Solutions District Energy, LLC, a district energy heating and cooling business serving New Orleans, Louisiana and Houston, Texas, to a subsidiary of Brookfield Infrastructure.

Atlantic Power Corporation, John Hancock Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.) and Rockland Capital, LLC in the sale of the Gregory Power Facility, a 400 MW gas-fired, combined-cycle cogeneration power generation facility located near Corpus Christi, Texas, to NRG Energy, Inc.

An international commodity trading company in the negotiation of a long-term, polymer grade propylene off-take agreement.

A publically traded utility in the acquisition of a 789 MW gas-fired electric generation facility in Louisiana.

A private equity company in the purchase of an equity interest in a 1,022 MW gas-fired electric generation facility in California.

Two financial institutions in the purchase of a $1.1 billion volumetric production payment on Appalachian oil and gas properties and the related syndication thereof.

A group of hedge funds and financial institutions in the purchase of a dollar denominated production payment on offshore Gulf of Mexico oil and gas properties.

A financial institution in a structured trading arrangement with a retail electric company to provide a credit sleeve for the retail electric company's wholesale power and gas transactions.

A publicly traded utility in the disposition of its Texas electric retail business.
