Courtney Love


Linda Morgan has a diverse practice with experience in counseling clients on general corporate matters, consulting with a variety of businesses worldwide, as well as advising on the protection of intellectual property assets.

Linda consults on various technology-based transactions such as licensing and joint development agreements in the software, e-commerce, energy, and telecommunications industries.  Her intellectual property practice also focuses on patent, trademark and service mark registration. Linda is a licensed patent attorney and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Linda represents commercial clients in corporate acquisitions and mergers, divestitures, co-investments, buy-sell agreements, due diligence and risk analysis, and the formation and maintenance of business entities. She counsels private equity firms and other strategic investment funds in the purchase and sale of companies and assets.

Linda holds a professional engineering license in California in mechanical engineering. She was previously employed as initial design engineer in the offshore oil and the shipbuilding industry. Linda has also worked in the legal department of an energy company, primarily focusing on contracts and regulatory compliance. During law school, she worked in the intellectual property division at an engineering company as the head of the U.S. Intellectual Property Group. Linda has presented on topics such as Therasense v. Becton Dickinson and intellectual property concerns in corporate transactions.
