Sandee Wilkinson


LaTasha "Tasha" Snipes is an intellectual property litigator that is experienced in many aspects of patent litigation including the development and implementation of claim construction, noninfringement and invalidity strategies. She routinely assists client with patent prosecution, patent licensing, trademarks, copyright procurement, copyright licensing agreements, technology transfers, and branding.

Tasha also has experience counseling clients in the strategic development of their patent portfolios, protecting multi-media projects (music, art, video production), and domain name disputes.

Prior to entering the legal profession, she worked as an electrical engineer, designing control strategies for oil and gas refineries. She also worked as a communication engineer in the aerospace industry.

During law school, Tasha was involved in mock trial where her team advanced to the national tournament. She also was the submissions editor of the Houston Business & Tax Law Journal.

Counseled a global leader in innovative fire safety and electronic security solutions in patent infringement allegations involving wireless mesh communication, video surveillance, and wireless encryption technologies as lead associate

Representation of financial institution in patent infringement action, including developing claim construction positions and invalidity contentions for patents relating to software utilized in the provision of financial services as lead associate

Prepared motions and researched issues for a representation of a financial institution involving automated call center technology related to toll free numbers, automated attendant, automated call distribution, voice response unit, computer telephone integration and speech recognition

Managed patent prosecution for over 30 concurrent applications and issued patents for a U.S. financial institution

Represented a local Houston client on a pro bono basis for trademark clearance and availability, opinions, and obtaining federal trademark registration
