Vanessa Garofalo


Katherine Lindsay is a member of the Bracewell’s Finance and Financial Restructuring teams.  Her practice focuses on complex workouts, insolvency proceedings, and distressed M&A transactions. She represents U.S. and international clients including financial institutions, institutional investors, hedge funds, and private equity groups in various sectors such as power, oil and gas, real estate, industry, maritime shipping, and telecommunications.  Katherine also advises clients at earlier stages in the investment process, in connection with a wide array of secured and unsecured credit transactions, by evaluating proposed investment and credit structures to mitigate financial risk, developing cross-border collateral packages, and assisting with early-stage amendment discussions.

Katherine has represented noteholder, bondholder and lender groups in U.S. and international restructurings and insolvency proceedings, including Cemex S.A.B. (Mexico and Spain), Centro Properties (Australia), LSP Batesville, TOUSA, and Washington Mutual Bank. She has also represented administrators and receivers for companies in England, Australia and New Zealand in connection with U.S. legal issues and insolvency proceedings.
