Laura Lockwood


Floren Taylor is an associate in Bracewell's New York office, where she is a member of the White Collar Criminal Defense and Special Investigations section. Her practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, securities enforcement, and complex commercial litigation.

Ms. Taylor represents clients in connection with antitrust violations, securities fraud, pay-to-play schemes, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) compliance, public corruption and environmental crimes. She also assists corporate clients with internal investigations of potential misconduct, often in response to allegations of fraud or insider trading.

Ms. Taylor also represents clients who face civil suits and regulatory actions in connection with criminal matters, both in federal and state courts. Representative matters include SEC investigations and enforcement actions, FINRA inquiries and arbitrations, shareholder derivative suits, and claims on behalf of state investment funds.

Prior to joining Bracewell, Ms. Taylor worked as a judicial intern to the Honorable Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Represented former bank executive in United States Supreme Court and in Second Circuit seeking appeal of conviction for municipal bonds bid-rigging scheme

Represented major oil field services provider in connection with criminal investigation of Deepwater Horizon blowout

Represented investment manager in connection with SEC securities fraud investigation

Represented former bank CFO in connection with SEC investigation of potential books and records and internal controls violations
