Debbie Lacey is a paralegal in the labor & employment section of Bracewell LLP. She has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of the labor and employment practice, including: Title VII; ADEA; ADA; FLSA/wage and hour; Sarbanes Oxley; False Claims/Qui Tam; affirmative action plans; non-compete agreements; ERISA; OSHA; reduction-in-force; traditional labor work; as well as administrative charges with government agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and similar state and municipal agencies; and all phases of mediation, arbitration and litigation. Debbie has managed a national RICO action, FLSA collective actions, and other single and multiple party employment litigation in multi-state regions.

Debbie is a presenter for the Firm's CLE-approved Human Resources Roundtable on the topic of e-discovery and litigation hold notices.

Giving back to the profession, Debbie was the advisor for the paralegal program as part of the political science degree plan at the University of Texas at Arlington and has been responsible for ethics training for staff and paralegals in the Dallas legal community. She developed and presented the Utilization of Paralegals and Document Management training program throughout the state of Texas. Debbie continues to be an advocate for the value-based role of paralegals in today’s challenging business and legal climate.
