Clark Donat's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. With a concentration in the energy/oil and gas, insurance, financial services, telecommunications, real estate, healthcare, construction, consumer finance, securities litigation, and employment disputes, Mr. Donat provides legal counsel in all aspects of the litigation process in both federal and state courts in Texas, including preparing and defending pretrial motions, discovery, trial, and appeal. Mr. Donat also has experience with real estate due diligence, with an emphasis on telecommunications and outdoor advertising assets.
Obtained a summary judgment on behalf of a commercial collection agency for approximately $3 million based, in part, upon the Texas Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act.
Obtained multiple temporary restraining orders and temporary injunctions in commercial and employment-related litigation.
Obtained a dismissal of litigation against a national financial services company for breach of contract and wrongful foreclosure claims.
Obtained a summary judgment on behalf of a company in the business of acquiring oil and gas leases and mineral interests against former employee for breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, misappropriation of confidential information, among numerous other causes of action.
Represented in arbitration before the American Arbitration Association a subsidiary of one of Canada’s largest corporations providing medical and dental imaging systems and IT solutions.
Represented a leading integrated retailer with almost 2,500 full-line and specialty retail stores in the United States and Canada in a dispute regarding a reciprocal easement agreement.
Represented working-interest owner in multi-million dollar oil and gas dispute with operator in arbitration with the American Arbitration Association.
Represented a national leading investment banking firm with industry-leading municipal bond business in litigation involving the redemption of bonds.
Represented major oil-field service provider in benzene-related, wrongful-death litigation.
Represented a leading national staffing corporation in an employment dispute regarding commissions.
Represented an international telecommunications company in multiple condemnation proceedings.
Member of a trial team that successfully represented a Fortune 500 IT services provider in a dispute relating to multi-million dollar hospital/healthcare IT services relationship.
Member of a trial team that successfully represented a condominium developer in various lawsuits dealing with claims arising under the Interstate Land Sales and Full Disclosure Act.
Obtained multiple mechanic’s and materialman’s liens for a leading national landscaping company.
Defeated a request for pre-suit deposition pursuant to Texas Rule of Civil Procedure 202.
Filed and pursued multiple foreign judgments in Texas.

JGM Holdings, L.L.C. v. T-Mobile USA, Inc., 568 Fed. Appx. 316 (5th Cir. 2014) (affirming underlying dismissal of approximately $1 million garnishment proceeding pursuant to Federal Rule Civil Procedure 12(b)(6)).
HHT Limited Co. v. Nationwide Recovery Systems, Ltd., Case No. 05-11-01058-CV, 2013 Tex. App. LEXIS 6717 (Tex. App.—Dallas 2013) (affirming underlying jury verdict in favor of client on issue of sufficiency of evidence to support damages awarded).
