Partners Albert Kimball, Constance Rhebergen, and Jeffrey Whittle Earn Certified Licensing Professional Designation

HOUSTON (July 30, 2008) — Bracewell & Giuliani LLP is pleased to announce that partners Albert B. Kimball Jr., Constance Gall Rhebergen, and Jeffrey S. Whittle have earned the Certified Licensing Professional™ (CLP) credential.

The CLP designation distinguishes licensing professionals who have demonstrated their experience and proficiency in licensing and the commercialization of intellectual property.  It is built on internationally applicable standards of practice, knowledge, and ethics to differentiate licensing professionals who have taken the steps necessary to become certified.

Mr. Kimball represents litigants in patent infringement litigation for patentees and for those alleged to be infringers.  He also represents multinational companies, both United States and foreign, in acquiring and transferring rights in intellectual property and technology in a variety of acquisitions and transactions.

Ms. Rhebergen is a registered patent attorney who counsels and represents business clients in the protection, maintenance, licensing and transfer of intellectual property assets and in providing patent infringement and validity options.  She also litigates infringement of patent, trademark and copyright, Internet domain name cases, trade secrets, unfair competition, as well as counseling on the protection of intellectual property assets in bankruptcy and acquisitions.

Mr. Whittle has extensive experience representing clients in various technology-based transactions, including licenses, agreements for technology development, transfer, acquisition, joint development, product development, and product distribution, as well as various other intellectual property agreements in the medical, e-commerce, energy, telecommunications, financial, software, and mechanical and electrical industries.
