Firm Wins $11 Million Jury Verdict For Flatrolled Steel Inc.

HOUSTON Flatrolled Steel Inc. received a favorable jury verdict, with actual and punitive damages totaling $11,900,106, in a lawsuit it brought against Custom Transit L.P., Richway Cartage Inc., Custom Operations LLC, and R. Enterprises Inc. Bracewell & Giuliani LLP attorneys Phillip L. Sampson (lead) and James W. Caldwell served as plaintiff's counsel.

The verdict upheld the plaintiff's allegations of breach of contract, conversion, negligence, gross negligence, and malice based on the defendants' alleged improper handling and storage of the plaintiff's steel products at locations in or near the Port of Houston.
