Christopher Olive Joins Dallas Office

DALLAS  Finance attorney Christopher Olive has joined Bracewell & Giuliani LLP as a partner in the Business Group of its Dallas office.

Olive's practice focuses on the representation of financial institutions and public and private companies in complex lending, structured finance and derivatives transactions. These transactions include syndicated credit facilities, asset-based financings, energy financings, real estate acquisition financings, restructuring/bankruptcy-related financings, asset securitizations and other structured financings, securities lending and repurchase transactions and interest rate, equity, commodity and credit derivatives transactions and related financial regulatory matters.

Olive's expertise is expected to advance the development of the firm's national lending, structured finance and derivatives practices.

In 1995, Olive earned his law degree from the Southern Methodist University School of Law. After completing law school, he earned his LL.M. in Banking & Finance Law with distinction from the University of London in 1996. In 1992, he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from University of Miami.

Olive is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association and the Texas Association of Bank Counsel. He is an adjunct lecturer in banking and finance law at the Southern Methodist University School of Law.
