Bracewell's Banking Practice Ranks Among The Top In The U.S. In M&A

February 15, 2010

HOUSTON Bracewell & Giuliani LLP has been recognized as one of the country's most active firms for banking mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in 2009. The firm was ranked fifth in the U.S. by SNL Financial with regard to the number of banking and thrift deals it handled in 2009. Bracewell has been one of the top five U.S. firms for banking M&A for four consecutive years.

"We are extremely excited to finish once again in the top five," said Will Luedke, head of Bracewell's banks and financial institutions section. "With the strong preference among active acquirors for failed bank bid opportunities, traditional bank M&A suffered an off year, but we were pleased to handle our fair share of the traditional mergers that did occur."
