Bracewell Ranks In The Top Five For Energy Patents

HOUSTON Bracewell & Giuliani LLP was ranked among the top five law firms in the U.S. for energy patents in 2009 by Intellectual Asset Management magazine in connection with PatentRatings. Bracewell ranked fourth based on issuing more than 40 energy patents within the past 12 months, multiplied by the average IPQ® score of those patents. PatentRatings is a market-validated software platform that develops and validates quantitative measures of the patent quality and value. It's IPQ score measures a patent's quality based on statistical methodology with a median of 100. This score is used by intellectual property professionals, investors and corporate strategic planners to identify the value and economic return of certain patents.
