Bracewell Named a Law360 Energy Group of the Year for Fifth Consecutive Year

December 21, 2015

HOUSTON – Bracewell & Giuliani LLP’s energy practice was named an Energy Group of the Year by Law360 for a remarkable fifth straight year. Bracewell was one of just seven energy practices recognized in 2015. All Practice Groups of the Year were selected based on significance of litigation wins or deals worked on; size and complexity of litigation wins or deals worked on; and number of significant, large or complex deals the group worked on or lawsuits won.

Bracewell was chosen in part for its depth and wide-ranging transactional, regulatory and litigation representations. The practice was also recognized for its work on behalf of high-profile clients such as Kinder Morgan, Inc., Duke Energy, Seplat, Apache Corporation, and Vopak.

“The honor of being named a top energy practice in the U.S. for a fifth consecutive year is a testament to our focus on energy and the quality depth of our teams across all segments of the energy business,” said G. Alan Rafte, a recently named Law360 Energy MVP for 2015. “Our team has been able to adapt to the volatility in the marketplace and best serve our clients with their current needs in a time where there are daily questions about the direction of hydrocarbon prices.”

Now in its sixth year, the Practice Group of the Year series drew 730 submissions in 2015. A record 184 winners were selected across 30 practice areas for honors. More firms than ever received Practice Group of the Year awards this year, as 80 firms were honored, which was up from 69 firms last year.

Profiles of the winning groups will begin appearing on the Law360 website in January.
