Bracewell Named 2007 Vanguard Award Winner

October 2, 2007

HOUSTON (October 2, 2007) — Bracewell & Giuliani LLP has received the 2007 Redwood Vanguard Award. The award is earned by the law firm that has taken the most significant strides in managing the business of law through the use of business intelligence (BI).

More than 100 law firms were considered for this year’s award.  In naming the winner, Redwood Analytics cited the firm’s consistency in showing its commitment to using BI at the firm. BI is the foundation for management of key business drivers such as productivity, client and matter profitability, and billing and collection processes.

“Using business intelligence to inform our decisions is ingrained in every aspect of what we do, and absolutely on a daily basis,” says Keith Marlow, chief financial officer of Bracewell. “Our finance group works as a team with each of our practice group leaders to develop forward plans and identify opportunities to improve their results. Business intelligence enables our management to make better decisions more quickly.”
