Bracewell & Giuliani Welcomes Stuart Zisman in Houston

May 3, 2011

HOUSTON — Bracewell & Giuliani LLP announced today that Stuart R. Zisman has joined the firm’s Houston office as a partner in its energy practice. Immediately prior to joining Bracewell, Zisman led Macquarie Energy LLC's energy asset strategy within the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Division, helping deploy both equity and debt in the energy sector. Zisman began his career as an associate with Bracewell, but since that time has spent more than a decade working in house at various energy companies.
The focus of Zisman’s practice is on energy transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, development, operations, finance, structured commodity transactions, investment analysis and due diligence, contract negotiations, and cross-functional management. His experience lends him a broad knowledge of the energy industry, including power generation, electric transmission, gas storage, transportation, and renewables.

“Stu brings a unique skill set with him, having worked as both inside counsel and in commercial transactions for companies,” said Mark C. Evans, managing partner, Bracewell & Giuliani LLP. “We know his insight will be a great asset, and are pleased to be welcoming him back to the team,” added Evans.

Zisman earned BBAs in both accounting and finance with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin. He earned his JD from the New York University School of Law.
