The Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce, Inc., together with Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, will be hosting a labor and employment law seminar in New Braunfels on August 2, 2007.

Program topics will include:
- Laws Affecting Employers and the Top Five "Hot" Issues that Employers Face: A general overview of the most significant laws affecting employers, followed by an introduction to the top five issues affecting employers today.
- The Fair Labor Standards Act - The Class Action of Choice: A discussion of the legal issues involving the white-collar exemptions, hours worked, off-the-clock, and other common problem areas.
- The Electronic Workplace: An analysis of surfing, blogging, instant messaging, camera phones, and protection of confidential and proprietary information in the workplace.
- Employment Litigation Avoidance and Management: An overview of "best practices" for avoiding employment litigation.
